Fantastic day at the Shizentai Rumble today! A brilliant well organised event with a great atmosphere, and with excellent judo on display at all ages.

With a few dropouts due to illness, in the end we had a squad of 42 take part. We had all age groups represented, from 6 year old Dragons, right up to a couple of 35+ Tortoises ๐Ÿ‘

Everyone put in a lot of hard work & determination with some great techniques on display.

As well as congratulations to all the competitors (and their parents, it can be hard to watch your kids compete, particularly the really young ones), my โœจhuge thanksโœจ to Freya for working matside with me throughout the morning, really appreciate all your hard work, and support you gave to all the kids.๐Ÿ‘

Also, well done to Samuel who worked a table all day, and George who was acting as a behind the scenes runner for the officials team. ๐Ÿ‘

This is a weekend of two halves, with a big competition for over 40 of our members today, which we'll update you on this evening... but yesterday was our fantastic Summer Social & BBQ, which (based on ice-cream tokens used) over 150 of you attended! An wonderful day of fun for all ages, and the sun stayed, if not "out" at least "around" all day!

๐Ÿ’ฅThank you so much to Liz, and her team of volunteers for putting together another great event. Everyone I spoke to was having a great time, and really appreciated the efforts you went to for us. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Thanks to all those who brought salads, baked cakes, set up, took down and generally ensured everything went smoothly throughout. ๐Ÿ‘

Special shoutouts to Colin, Samuel, Richard & Bob who handled the multitude of BBQ grills wonderfully all day for us, and to Cassie & Anna for their brilliant face painting! ๐Ÿฅณ

Looking forward to how the Social for our 75th Anniversary comes together next year! ๐Ÿ˜„
