π₯ BJC Grading all done, with excellent effort from all 5 SAJC Seniors who took part. Some disappointments, but as always good judo on display & plenty of lessons to take back from the day.
Huge congratulations for the successful Contests, and Theory & Kata assessment leading to promotions for Richard - 2nd Kyu (blue belt) & Stratty - 1st Kyu (brown belt) ππ
π₯ We've had a great Weekend on the FPJ2 Course, with new Level 2 Coach Awards for Steve & John, revalidations for Bob, Kim, Ian, Jad (and Adam who missed the photo!) π
It was wonderful to spend some time catching up with a few SAJC Alumni (Lisa, Paddy, Tori & Ricky) who were also revalidating their awards. π
Big Shout Out to Samuel π, who spent the weekend refereeing at the Northern Home Counties Open, both the L3 event for Minors through Cadets on Saturday and the Higher L4 event for Juniors, Seniors & Veterans on Sunday.
As his coach I've received this feedback from the parent of one of the participants at Sundays event
"What i saw today was a lad very intent on learning and trying his best. The club should be very proud of him. He also represented the club very professionally."
We are indeed incredibly proud of you Samuel. π
πCongratulations π to Coaches Kim, Steve J & Martin who all passed their next BJA Dan Grade examinations today.
Working with our friends Russell & Sara from Tsumokie Judo Club, along with their club member Jackie, and supported by Senior Examiner Ricky Haynes, we had an excellent day of judo, with Technical examinations & a chance for some extra Kata practice. Also well done to Russell & Sara who both passed their respective Dan examinations π
