Safeguarding & Welfare at SAJC

We are proud to have met the requirements to be awarded the
Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts.

For more information on this scheme: 

St Albans Judo club follows the guidelines for Safeguarding, in regards both Children and Vulnerable Adults, as laid down by our National Governing Body for sport.
These policies are available for download at the bottom of this page.

All our Coaches and Volunteers over the age of 16, both on and off mat, are DBS checked, and those over 18 also attend the UK Coaching “Safeguarding & Protecting Children in Sport” course every 3 years. Most of our Volunteers, and all of our Coaches also hold First Aid qualifications.
In addition our Welfare Officers attend the UK Coaching “Time to Listen” course

Club Welfare Officers

If you have any concerns related to Child Protection or Welfare issues at the club you are welcome to speak to our Welfare officers.
They can contacted by emailing or speak to them at the club. They are both very friendly and approachable.
